BEERWAH SPORTS GROUND

Public BBQ

A sporting complex that punches well above the size of the town, hosting the local RSL, Rotary and Lions clubs alongside the playing fields. For day use there are toilets, good parking and plenty of shady corners to sit out of the sun. A campground operates on the showground with roomy, grassed, powered sites; campers can use the sports ground change rooms, which have hot showers and toilets, so there is no need to set up an ensuite. The setting is the strength: the public pool is barely a hundred metres away, and a skate park, playground, school and sports fields back onto the site, with the pub, cafes, shops and supermarkets all within walking distance and well-kept walking and cycling paths through town. It stays quiet at night and mosquitoes are not a problem. Seating for large gatherings is limited, and the tables often need a wipe down of bird and bat droppings first.
